Food Production

Grains, oilseeds, vegetables, fruits, livestock, dairy, poultry, fish, seafood – as varied as the list, so are the industry’s demands. From vineyards in British Columbia and Ontario, to cattle ranches in Alberta, to potato farms in Prince Edward Island – and everything in between – Canada’s agricultural sector is one of the largest in the world.

The equipment and machinery used to plant, grow, tend, harvest, sort, pick, pack and otherwise process or produce is as diverse as the plants and animals – and the equipment must work in all sorts of environments and conditions. Jet-Lube knows this, and it’s this knowledge that has helped us develop products from greases for tractor axels to food-safe lubricants for conveyor belts and grain augers.

As with any industry, the machinery varies greatly in design and purpose – the bagger on a packaging machine, the conveyor on a sandwich assembly line, the mixer in an industrial kettle – contamination is always a concern. Each area of production brings consumables closer and closer in contact with machinery. And it is vitally important to know - without a doubt, that non-food materials used to keep that machinery running smoothly are food-safe and reliable. To meet these needs, Jet-Lube manufactures high-quality products in varying grades, from incidental to direct contact.
